Faster Eligibility Verification
Using an integrated web application, participating providers can verify member eligibility, submit referrals for consultations and office visits to participating providers, obtain authorizations for elective hospital admissions, and view the status of past referrals and authorizations.

Quicker Claims Processing & Billing
IPA members have access to an experienced claims support staff and state-of-the-art technology for accurate and timely processing of claims. Our years of experience have resulted in the majorityof cliams being paid in less than 15 days. To reduce paperwork and facilitate more timely and efficient processing and payment, IPA providers can electronically submit claims to the CMO.

Credentialing
For many of our plans, IPA simplifies the credentialing process for providersto ensure that physicians are properly appointed and reappointed to their network or hospital according to the specific need of the organization.

What does it cost to join IPA?
There is no cost or membership fee for participating in IPA.

What plans are currently covered by IPA?
IPA currently manages commercial plans for Aetna and Health Net; commercial, Medicaid, CHP, FHP and Medicare plans for HIP, and Medicare plans for Oxford and Empire.

What do I have to do to become a member of IPA?
The application for joining IPA is available by calling Provider Relations at (914) 377-4477 or emailing your request to cmoproviderrelations@montefiore.org.

How will my practice submit claims, check claims status and verify eligibility for patients covered under IPA plans?
All information can be obtained by calling the Provider Relations Support Line at (914) 377-4477 Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each office is also provided the Electronic Claims Submission Program and a secure log-in to the Care Link system where eligibility can be verified and the status of claims can be checked via the Internet.
